just make something! perfect isn’t real!

neuroaesthetics is proving that art, art-making, and sensory-rich environments can generate chemical and physical responses that help us feel better, learn quicker, and live life more fully

IT’S SCIENCE!

Who is this witch?

I am Tracey, and I dilly dally around Whichcraft Art Bar serving up a healthy* amount of arts & crafts, sass, and laughs!

Thinking back through what memories I have access to, arts & crafts has always played a huge role in my life. One time I put a cast - A PLASTER CAST - on my arm to go ✨beyond✨ for a science fair in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. It had to be later cut off with some crazy tool my dad had.

There was another period of life where I drew mandalas, like, constantly. I have one TATTOOED on my shoulder. I have sewn my children (terrible) gym shorts, and made (almost) every invitation that they’ve sent out. I’m obsessed, mkay? I need to keep my hands busy!

I NEED TO DO ARTS & CRAFTS

Matrescence has taught me so much. Most importantly to be authentic. Life is too short. To be unapologetically me, and lean into the weird.

Creating has provided me a safe space where I am constantly reminded - in an incredible way! - that perfect isn’t real, and art is an expression of emotion whether intentional or not.

Learning to express my emotions has been, and will continue to be a challenging ride through life, but I am so grateful to have the arts & crafts.

MATRESCENCE?

In very unscientific terms, Matrescence is similar to adolescence. The difference being the timing in life. Matrescence encompasses the psychological, social, and existential changes that occur during and after becoming a mother.

it’s everyone’s first time living. let them.

*questionable🤷🏼‍♀️
